To wrap up position rankings and the newsletter ‘marathon’ I will be giving my top 3 centers in the league right now. I do have one honorable mention, Joel Embid…He is a top 3 center but due to injury this year, he will not be included.

Three

• Domantis Sabonis/Victor Wembanyama

I tried my best not to have two people at this spot but I could not justify leaving either of these guys off. Domas is having another great year with Sacramento and is playing some of the best ball of his career. he leads the league in triple-doubles by a fair margin. On the other hand, Wembanyams is everything we thought he would be, and more. He is a literal alien on the court and almost everything he does, looks so simple. With a good playoff run for Sacramento and a sure-fire ROY for Wembanyama, I think it is fair that they both are in the 3 spots.

• Anthony Davis

For a while, it looked like AD could have a chance at DPOY but thanks to Rudy Gobert, we will not see that. AD is having another great year but especially on the defensive end of the floor. He is putting up 25 and 12 a night but he is struggling hitting the 3 ball. Over the season, he has only hit 19 total threes. Although he and LeBron are playing great ball, the Lakers continue to struggle in the Regular season. That being said, I would not want to see them in the playoffs.

• Nikola Jokic

I mean is anybody surprised? Joker is probably the best player in the NBA and has been for the past three years. 26/12/9 on 58/34/82 splits is insane in itself but the advanced states also help his case. He leads the league in PIE which is player impact estimate; a stat that metrics to gauge a player's all-around contribution to the game. Box score and eye test both contribute to that scale which makes it dependable to use. I think we will see Jokic win his third MVP this season and I could see a world where the Nuggets win back-to-back titles.
