Intro: About Me

My name is Blake Beckum and I am a freshman in college who is pursuing his dream in sports media/broadcasting. This is my first newsletter and I am hoping to stay consistent enough to make this more than a hobby! My favorite thing in the world is basketball…unfortunately, I am not very good at it. But, that does not stop me from loving the game itself. I am a communications major and my absolute dream would be to work in the NBA for a career, I know it is a little bit of a longshot but there is no way of knowing if I never try. My goals with this are obviously to be able to make money but also promote my podcast (that I hope to start in 2024) and have fun doing it. Your support of any kind would be so helpful and do more than you may know. Feel free to ask me questions about anything. I am going to challenge myself to write about all things basketball with minimal bias (I am a big Clippers fan).
