Is it finally the Clippers year?
The Clippers are hot and are not looking to slow down anytime soon.
🏀Clip Gang or Don’t Bang🚢
It is the Clipper’s year to win it all and I am here for it. I am a Clippers fan (completely unbiased) and I truly think this is the best chance they have had since the bubble year. I’ve been rocking my statement blue Paul George jersey every time they play and i’m loving it. The addition of James Harden started off looking like they gave away all chances to win as they started 0-6 but quickly turned it around. Since December 1st, the Clippers are 25-5 and have the lowest losses in the Western Conference. Kawhi is shooting the best he ever has, Paul George has been slightly inconsistent but still hooping, Harden is the happiest since his Houston days, and Norman Powell is shooting great off the bench. The good shooting by Kawhi allows the P&R with Harden and Zubac to have a corner threat on a kickout if the crash is too much for a Zubac put-up or a Harden lay-in. All of that is amazing but the most important is that they have been healthy. Kawhi and Paul George have played 41 games together this season out of 48 possible games. Being a Clippers fan, I have been thinking about what else needs to happen to get them over the hump, if I had to pick one trade to do before the deadline to help them. They need more rebounding, and one name that comes to mind when you hear rebound is Andre Drummond.
The Clippers could offer Bones Hyland and PJ Tucker for Andre Drummond, he would not play a lot in the rotation but I think a big defense and rebounding body like him could only benefit him. He would probably take minutes from Daniel Theis as he is not as much of a rebounder and he can also score more off of missed shots. Obviously, they do not need Andre Drummond, but he could benefit them
The record speaks for itself, but I also have to mention that they are the best three-point shooting team in the association. They shoot 39.5% from the arc which helps them also have the best offense since December 1st. On the contrary to the offense, their defense has been impeccable. They are top 10 in points allowed and top 5 in steals. But the eye test is more impressive than the box score. In order to really see how dominant they are, you have to look at them in the game, see rotations, switches, chase downs, closeouts, and all in between. If you want to see good team basketball on both ends, I recommend watching a Clippers home game.
Looking toward the postseason, they would likely play a team such as the Mavericks, Suns, or Kings. All of those I would still pick the Clippers, but it would be stressful. All of these teams have players that can take over a game at will such as Luka, Booker, KD, and Fox. All of these series would go to 6+ games I think and it would come down to if the Clippers can knock down the open shots that are created so often.
Let me know what you think about the Clippers this year!

What I am doing you do not understand now, but afterward you will understand
